This is the 2008 FR500CJ, cj meaning "Cobra Jet." I posted a nice high resolution picture of what the Cobra Jet Mustang looks like, pretty cool huh? No specific details on how much horsepower this beast has, but we do know it will have a supercharger 5.4 liter 32-valve V8 engine. So I'm looking for around 500+ horsepower! The car features new body work: such as new side louvers, 4 hood pins, and powered by Ford badge. It's definitely shaping up to be a super muscle car for the drag strip!

2010 Mustang Pictures Revealed

There isn't a whole lot shown in these pictures, but you get an idea what the rims will look like, interior, and angles used on the car. I can't say for sure, but it seems as though Ford is going for a more sleek/sharp look. I really hope they put in a more powerful engine in the Mustang GT this time around, 4.6L is just not enough for my appetite! There is talk that a 5.0L will go in this time around.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SM5xImJSUYI/AAAAAAAAAIA/A5o0EEasg8c/s200/2010_ford_mustang_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246255008425595266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SM5wKRq3QUI/AAAAAAAAAH4/7M33q2eYyXU/s200/05_2010_mustang_tease5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246253937777393986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SM5wGNfMrgI/AAAAAAAAAHw/xIF0KK0HEyo/s200/2010_ford_mustang_tease2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246253867935247874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SM5v-X3jAWI/AAAAAAAAAHo/IzeU4R0sptk/s200/02_2010_mustang_tease4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246253733282775394" />

Fuel Efficient Foxbody Mustang

<img style="float:left; margin:0 8px 8px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SGoeTz3GoxI/AAAAAAAAAHY/QtVvkcx8rmk/s200/foxbody-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5218016443949818642" /> If you are looking for a good fuel economy car, a V8 muscle is really not a good choice! But, not a lot of people know that back in 1982 and 1983 Ford made a four cylinder Foxbody Mustang. Yeah, can you believe it? AKA four banger! The manual transmission four cylinder Foxes got an average or 40mpg on the highway and 25mpg in the city. Pretty amazing mileage for the 80s and still to this day. The only think you will be sacrificing is the sound and power, yeah the only thing! I know that kind of sucks, because isn't that what makes a muscle car? Power and sound, not necessarily, a lot of people still classify a muscle car by just looks. So if you are one of those guys or gals, pick up a 1980s Foxbody Mustang. Problem is you aren't going to find one in good shape, expect to sacrifice a little elbow grease.

Carroll Opens Shelby Corner Cafe

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 6px 0px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SAyL1uNUGII/AAAAAAAAAHQ/BLKVr_czm84/s200/shelby.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191678225504540802" />At the grand opening which was on the same weekend as the NHRA race at Las Vegas, the party goers included a who’s who of the racing realm including NHRA driver Bob Tasca III , Don “the Snake” Prudhomme and NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car Champion Robert Hight. The local Mustang club was also in attendance with several Mustangs.

The food is a light American café fare, priced right and perfect for breakfast or lunch. Hoods of various Shelby models hang from the ceiling as well as light fixtures made from Shelby Mustang grilles.

“Shelby Corner Café is a fun place to dine while visiting Carroll’s two favorite places, the track and his factory,” said Amy Boylan, President of Shelby Automobiles. “We initially planned to open a place for Shelby employees as the selection of eateries is a bit limited at the Speedway. We had so many requests by enthusiasts to eat here after a museum tour that decided to open the café to the public. On any given day, you might see our chief test driver, production crew, or even Carroll himself eating at the next table.”

Indeed the Shelby Corner Café will surely become a new spot on the map for Ford enthusiasts who are visiting Las Vegas on business or vacation. The Café is just across the parking lot from the Shelby HQ and Museum, so it makes a perfect hour stop. Business hours are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

“The Café will be available for private parties and even has a door to accommodate the entry of a car inside,” noted Boylan. “We might even add a stop at the Café to the Shelby car delivery program for a private meal.”

We happen to know that the new Café will become the number one place for car clubs to meet in Las Vegas! The Shelby Corner Cafe is located on Speedway Blvd, just two blocks southeast of Interstate 15 in far north Las Vegas.

Man Wins Mustang at Barrett-Jackson

<img style="float:left; margin:0 0px 6px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SAyLRuNUGHI/AAAAAAAAAHI/FZDFiIRdRbg/s200/win-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191677607029250162" />Ford Racing has created a traveling road show display that comprises side-by-side dyno drag racing simulators. Mounted atop are two identical Mustangs in which lucky people from the audience at the show are chosen to race against one another. This year Ford upped the ante by awarding the top winner of the matches with a new car.

When the smoke cleared on Saturday March 29, John Porto emerged as the winner of Ford’s first ever simulated drag racing tournament. Porto, a resident of Stuart, FL and an avid automotive enthusiast, was awarded a new V6 Mustang from the South Florida Ford Dealers for his impressive driving. Being a smart and able enthusiast, John upgraded to a Ford Mustang GT that will soon be fitted with Ford Racing’s FR1 power upgrade package and FR3 Handling Pack.

“We aim to excite at Barrett-Jackson and the Ford drag racing contest took the entertainment value of our Palm Beach auction to the next level,” said Steve Davis, President of Barrett-Jackson. “For the final race, hundreds of people surrounded the stage, creating the buzz and anticipation of an actual big-time drag race. In addition to the new contest, Ford also sold some amazing cars for charity, which helped bring our charity total for the entire Palm Beach event to over $1 million.”

Ford created a “drag strip” at the event with a pair of actual Ford Mustang Bullitts in front of an NHRA style “Christmas tree” set of lights that simulate a quarter mile drag strip. Individuals entered a drawing for the chance to compete in a series of eliminations where the winner was determined by a combination of reaction and elapsed time. With SPEED cameras capturing live coverage of the championship race, Porto recorded a remarkable quarter-mile time of 13.01 seconds, earning the title and an attractive addition to his garage.

“This was the experience of a lifetime,” noted Porto. “I’ve been attending Barrett-Jackson every year since it started in Palm Beach and this was without a doubt my most memorable trip. Ford has been extremely accommodating during the entire process, including quick delivery of the car. I gave the new Mustang to my wife, so I’ll have to defend my title next year and win one for myself.”

Porto received his Mustang GT from Advantage Ford of Stuart on Sunday, March 30, just one day after winning the drag race at Barrett-Jackson. The Ford Racing FR1 power upgrade package and FR3 Handling Pack that will be added to the car were part of the original prize from Ford.

“Ford Motor Company and the South Florida Ford and Lincoln Mercury Dealers are proud to partner with Barrett-Jackson to bring this exciting drag racing event to Palm Beach,” said Rob Johnston, Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company Florida Region.

“The entire weekend was a huge success for our team. Collectively, we were able to raise money for the Ford Salute to Education Scholarship Program, a partnership with the South Florida Ford and Lincoln Mercury Dealers that's been in place for nearly 14 years. The program has awarded nearly $3 million in scholarships to deserving high school seniors over that period, and together with Barrett-Jackson, we were able to bring more awareness to the program.”

Ford's EcoBoost Engines Ready For Showroom

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SAyKseNUGFI/AAAAAAAAAG4/zIpIC981NUA/s400/eco-engine.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191676967079123026" />The fruits of Ford’s monumental turnaround effort which we have been watching and talking about for the last two years are finally starting to bloom. All the talk is starting to turn to walk as rollout of new products and technology from every corner of Ford is reaching a fever pitch.

While the all new cars and trucks have been stealing the headlines and will continue to do so, one of the biggest stories in Ford’s recent history will be under the hood of all these new cars. As everyone knows, gas prices and new government regulations will be changing the automotive landscape before we know it. Ford has been hard at work developing the next generation of high tech engines long before gas prices rose to $3.50 a gallon and well before the new CAFÉ legislation was hatched. They saw it coming.

We recently had the opportunity to see Ford’s new EcoBoost engine technology up close, touch it with our hands, and chat with Ford engineers about how it works and where it will be used. EcoBoost, which mates advanced direct injection technology and turbocharging with a gasoline engine, can deliver up to 20 percent better fuel economy, 15 percent lower CO2 emissions and superior driving performance versus larger displacement engines. The technology will be spread across Ford’s lineup from small cars to large pickups.

Spider-Man Mustang

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/SAyJEeNUGEI/AAAAAAAAAGw/2XSwESqSeW8/s200/spiderman-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191675180372727874" />This is a pretty cool custom Mustang. It's still the original engine, that's pretty amazing if you ask me. The person who owns this 1989 is a woman in North Carolina. So what's the secret you might ask? The answer she said is doing regular oil changes and correct maintenance to your vehicle. This shows how long a car can really live for if you take care of it. See most car owners don't take care of there cars. It's not surprising, because if you look at how well the average American takes care of themself, it's not good. Most people in American are way overweight and have high cholesterol.

Barricade may return for a second Transfomers

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R_OJcycNp7I/AAAAAAAAAGA/jeIRRHjWhYA/s200/transformers2-mustang-saleen.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184638723703023538" />Looks like Barricade might be making a return in Transfomers 2. Auto Show. Based on the 2001 Mustang GT, the limited-production Bullitt featured a 4.6-liter V-8 tweaked for better airflow and power, including a cast-aluminum intake, twin 57-mm bore throttle body and high-flow mufflers. Team Mustang also gave Bullitt a firmer, lowered suspension for tighter handling, as well as special exterior enhancements and interior touches meant to capture the spirit of the movie car. Unique wheels, "Bullitt" badbing and a brushed-aluminum fuel-filler door helped complete the look, with a factory serialized identification label included to verify each 2001 Bullitt as a true collectible.

2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-u59ycNp4I/AAAAAAAAAFo/dudrcM3gYZA/s200/2000-cobra-r.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182440267383154562" />The 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R debuted as the fastest factory Mustang ever produced. Its SVT-developed, naturally aspirated 5.4-liter V8 produced 385 horsepower, good for 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, the quarter-mile in 13.2 and a 170-mph top speed. As a true, lightweight R-model, it also had track-capable brakes, able to make a full stop from 60 mph in just 127 feet. Like all SVT Cobra Rs before it, the 2000 R came stripped of any stock feature not needed for track use or that would add excess weight. Recaro racing seats, side-exit dual exhaust, a front air splitter and a high-mount rear wing hinted of the car's superb stability and handling capabilities. Just 300 units were made, available only in Performance Red Clearcoat.

John Coletti

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-u4EScNp3I/AAAAAAAAAFg/xGZVFxdMzcA/s200/john-coletti.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182438180029048690" />Mustang Hall of Fame Member and SVT Director John Coletti retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service, effective December 31, 2004. Puts a new meaning to the phrase "Ice, Ice Baby." Steve Saleen's company really develops some sweet Mustangs, but this one is absolutely amazing. The rims are pure sex, when you match a nice set of rims up with a car, it really makes the car look a hundred times better. I saw this picture on Modded Mustangs.com and I had to post about it. It's just to bad the Sterling Saleen retails at a whopping 100k. Definitely too rich for my blood, but it will still stay a favorite in my book.

One ugly Mustang

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-o2pycNpzI/AAAAAAAAAFA/j3JnAKBwBQY/s200/ugly-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182014412785821490" />There's a lot of great things to say about Ford Mustangs, but why not say some negative things from time to time. For instance, there's a lot of guys out there that like to over modify their Mustangs. This car being one of them, everything about the car is just ugly and tacky. I just don't know what the guy was thinking about when he enhanced this Mustang. The rims are cheesy, the hood is overbearing, the ground effects are from Fast and Furious, and the grille looks like cheap plastic crap. The company Roush decided to pump out 510 horses out of the Mustang GT, making it one of the most powerful Mustangs ever produced. Roush named this incredible Mustang the P-51A, in memory of the long range fighter plane flown in World War II. My favorite part of the car is the power, I really can't imagine 500hp under my foot. The all-American muscle machine that is the Ford Mustang and Falken’s amazing RT615 tires have proven to be a threatening, competitive combination over the last three years with Vaughn behind the wheel. He is now thrilled to be a part of such an innovative American company – and Ford is equally as excited to have him.

"Ford Racing is excited to join Team Falken to support Vaughn's drifting program," says Jamie Allison, manager of Ford Racing Performance Group. "Not only is Vaughn a proven and accomplished competitor, having won the 2007 D1GP World Championship in a Ford Mustang, but he's a die-hard long-standing Mustang loyalist as well. His skills and outgoing personality are perfect complements to Mustang, and effective in reaching the young, expressive drifting audience with a strong Mustang and Ford Racing presence. We're looking forward to a great relationship."

“The support and genuine enthusiasm Ford offers their drivers and teams is simply amazing,” says Vaughn. “I am honored to represent Ford Racing and officially become a part of their extensive motorsports heritage.”

In other exciting news, Vaughn Gittin Jr. will be competing in a brand new Falken Tire Ford Mustang for the 2008 season. With everything that he and Team Falken have learned over the last three years compiled into a new Ford Mustang chassis equipped with Ford Racing parts, 2008 is without question going to be the strongest year ever.

Falken Tire Corporation has a new member joining the team – Ian Stewart of Autosport Dynamics – who has not only taken on the task of building Vaughn’s new Ford Mustang, but is also his new crew chief for 2008.

“I am absolutely ecstatic to be working with Ian Stewart,” says Vaughn. “Autosport Dynamics does nothing but top notch quality work and he is simply a genius when it comes to car setup and communication with a driver. I really feel he is the icing on the cake in regards to the amazing support I receive as a driver.”

Ian is equally excited to be working with Vaughn and the Falken Tire team this upcoming season. “I have watched Vaughn drive for the last couple years while I have been involved in drifting and he is incredibly talented,” says Ian. “I have no doubt that together next year, we are going to make an unstoppable team.”

There are many more exciting announcements in the works from Vaughn Gittin Jr. about the 2008 season, so be sure to stay tuned.

2008 Shelby Mustang GT Wins Motor Trend Ponycar of the Year

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-osTicNpuI/AAAAAAAAAEc/U1ce_15H_8E/s400/shelby-mustang-gt.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182003035417454306" />Motor Trend has announced that this year's ponycar of the year goes to the 2008 Shelby Mustang GT. Steeda has just recently announced a very progressive solution to powertrain control for the S197 Ford Mustang. This new Adaptive Performance Calibration system takes full advantage of the drive-by-wire system in the car and takes it to the next level of preferred performance.

The new Steeda Adaptive Performance Calibration (APC) system integrates into the powertrain control system and begins to learn the best way to provide the Mustang driver with the best possible tune and performance for the equipment added to the car as well as the driving conditions experienced (fuel, humidity, elevation, aftermarket modifications, etc).

With the APC, there is absolutely no compromise to the Mustang’s standard equipment, engine management systems, or any of its related subsystems. It’s designed to work in conjunction with existing equipment—not supercede or override.

Mustang Cobra Compilation

One of the sweetest Mustang Cobra videos I have ever seen. I would recommend getting the chrome plated option on the wheels, they are a lot easier to clean and polish.

Favorite Mustang Movie

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-Jm3ScNppI/AAAAAAAAAD0/oLmhHxv9y6Y/s200/gone-in-60-seconds.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179815621458503314" />My favorite Mustang movie by far is "Gone in 60 Seconds." Komen for the Cure each time it sells a 'Warriors in Pink' package for the 2009 Ford Mustang.

“Thanks to the tremendous response from our dealers and customers to the 2008 ‘Warriors in Pink' Mustang, we knew we needed to continue offering the package, and we're happy to be able to increase our support for the Cure at the same time,” said Connie Fontaine, Ford Experiential Marketing manager.

Produced in a limited edition of 1,000 units, the Mustang with Warriors in Pink package was designed exclusively in support of Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure. New upgrades for the 2009 package are featured on the Ford display at the New York International Auto Show.

Available on the Mustang V-6 Premium Coupe and Convertible models, the Warriors in Pink package includes a unique grille and will add a pink ribbon and pony fender badge, pink Mustang rocker tape striping, charcoal leather seats with pink stitching, aluminum-spoke steering wheel with pink stitching and charcoal floormats with pink ribbon and contrast stitching.

Coupes also can be ordered with the all-new glass roof option. Three body colors will be available: Black, Brilliant Silver and Performance White.

Launched in 2006, the Ford Warriors in Pink campaign recognizes the strength and courage it takes to deal with the everyday challenges of fighting breast cancer. Ford's goal in 2008 is to donate more than $1 million for the Cure through these sales of the special Mustangs, Warriors in Pink apparel and other fundraising efforts.

The Warriors in Pink apparel collection for men and women feature important symbols signifying the message of hope, strength and unity in the commitment to the fight against breast cancer. All apparel is available on www.fordcares.com, and 100 percent of net proceeds are donated to Komen for the Cure.

The limited-edition 2009 Mustang with Warriors in Pink will be available through Ford dealers this summer. Mustang is one of the greatest automotive sales success stories of all time. Nearly one out of every two sports cars sold in America is a Mustang, and the Mustang is also America's best-selling convertible.

Mustang has some Major Competetition

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R-JfOScNpiI/AAAAAAAAAC8/YsPGYIhcRQY/s400/new-camaro.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179807220502472226" />The word going around the net is the new Camaro will have a LS9 supercharge option available. Ford Mustangs have been recalled because the cars do not comply with a neck injury law as part of the Federal Motor vehicle Safety Standard No. 208. The requirement in question is for “Occupant Crash Protection,” for a fifth percentile female sitting in the passenger seat without her seatbelt while the seat is in the full front position. The air bag deploys with strong force, which government officials believe place smaller passengers at serious risk of personal injury. According to the recall, if a small adult or a child is seated in the front passenger seat without a seat belt and the car is as far to the front of the car as possible, there could be a higher risk of neck injury if there is an accident with air bag deployment. This is not good for Ford at all since Mustang sales have been down.

Giugiaro Mustang

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 6px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R9lGl7wvuYI/AAAAAAAAAC0/O_GAHUZh7Sw/s320/giugiaro-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177246864150346114" />It may sound like the name of the hottest new men's fragrance from Italy, but the Mustang by Giugiaro is a unique, one of a kind customized version of the Ford Mustang that is being displayed at the L.A. Auto show.

The car is the work of Fabrizio Giugiaro, who heads the style department for Italdesign, and Giorgetto, Fabrizio's father who is the founder of Italdesign. Giorgetto designed Alfa Romeo’s, Maserati’s, the first Volkswagen Golf and the DeLorean DMC-12.

Fabrizio called the current Mustang the best Mustang design since the 1964 ½. His own Italian reinterpretation of the American classic pony car is posh and luxurious. It wouldn't be out of place on Rodeo Drive.

The reimaging of the Mustang happened because Giugiaros so loved the Mustang that the requested the right to put their own spin on the car. Giugiaros said that it was “important to show the automotive world pure exercises in style that interpret key models reflecting the history and image of important brands.”

Giugiaros designed his first Mustang in 1965. He designed a new car atop the Mustang chassis, but removed all but the most rudimentary Mustang vestige behind. The car that Giugiaros designed this time stayed true to the original more so than the first experiment. The car keeps the Mustang's face and profile, but the roof has been opened into one piece of sweeping glass that combines the rear window, wind shield and skylight into one piece.

The rear end was also redesigned. It was turned into a fastback with a small tail fin. Giugiaros gave a nod to the 60s Mustang design with side windows louvers, adding visual interest to a part of the production car that seemed to have been given little thought. The Mustang by Giugiaros has a sweetness that may seem at odds with the aggressive character of the Mustang. It's still a Mustang, but it lacks the grit and angles that have become synonymous with the Mustang.

The Mustang by Giugiaros isn't the first time that Giugiaros has taken on an American classic car. He also redesigned the 2003 Corvette in honor of the Corvette's 50th Anniversary. Other Italians have tried their hands at improving Detroit's handiwork. Modena produced three new Corvette bodies in 1959, which stripped 400 pounds from the car. Pininfarina also introduced a redesign of the Corvette that was debuted at the 1963 Motor Show in Paris. He also redesigned the 1983 Cadillac as the Allante. None of these cars were particularly beloved.

The Mustang by Giugiaros already ranks much higher on the list of foreign redesigned American cars. The interior is the perfect merging of American style with the Italian leather and chrome luxury. The classic Mustang logo is on the headrest and the upholstery on the seats is pinto patterned. The Mustang also has been given a supercharger that gets 500 horsepower from the V8 engine. The Mustang was envisioned by Iococca to be a car that users customized. The Giugiaros have done just that, with surprising results.

Knight Rider Mustang

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R9lE77wvuXI/AAAAAAAAACs/8tLUGXDRxRw/s320/knight-rider-mustang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177245043084212594" />Some have said that it looks a little too tunerish, but I actually thought they did a good job with the Knight Rider Mustang. ROUSH produced 151 limited edition P-51A Mustangs with 510 horsepower & 510 lb. ft of torque which is the most horsepower ever put into a ROUSH Mustang. The ROUSH P-51A Mustang also marks the first time ROUSH upgraded the engine with forged internals. The internals needed to be upgraded so the engine could withstand the additional horsepower generated from newest ROUSHcharger super-charger system. Other extras include stitched leather seating, aggresive aerobody kit, 4-piston brake calipers and 5-spoke forged wheels. The ROUSH P-51A Mustang is lot #667 and comes right after the two KITT’s from the tv movie Knight Rider.

Death Proof

<img style="float:left; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R9lCQ7wvuUI/AAAAAAAAACU/mZ8rGeF2s3s/s200/death-proof.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177242105326582082" />No connection to the almighty Mustang, but when you get a chance to sit down in front of the tube you need to watch Death Proof. The S302 Extreme Mustang gives you 620 horsepower at your disposal for the most powerful ride you have ever experienced. That's quite a punch, I think I would end up killing myself if I drove this thing. Little too much horsepower for me, definitely out of my price range too. The final cost on a S302E is between 70k-80k, that would make a pretty big whole in my wallet. But still, Saleen came through on creating a great looking ride for the automotive enthusiast. There aren't too many companies that could of done the same. My favorite part of the Saleens is the rear, I think it really makes it stand out from the rest of the Mustangs.

My Favorite Mustang

<img style="float:right; margin:0 6px 0px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_6WccXoRaHlk/R9k16rwvuPI/AAAAAAAAAB0/Ok9y_YRbJV8/s200/blue-mustang-cobra.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177228528934959346" />My favorite Mustang is the 03/04 SVT Mustang Cobra. Every way Ford built this Mustang was absolutely perfect. Whether it was the performance or the looks, I give Ford an A+ on this Mustang. The iron block, forged internals, and supercharger just make this car so dangerous out on the road. It's such a great car!

Mustang Legend Dead at age 63

Boyd Coddington, a legend to many Mustang enthusiasts across the nation died last wednesday at 6:20am. The cause is still unknown, he will be missed by many. The car God had many great automotive ideas, many know him from his TV show. I got to watch a few episodes and I thought they were great. Really showed what it took to become a gear head. Really hope he went somewhere great, rest in peace Body Coddington.
